Preparing for your appointment
There is no need to have every detail decided before we meet. A few practical preparations will help us understand how you like to dress and make the most of your time with us.
For an in-person fitting
Bring the shoes you plan to wear with your trousers, skirt or denim so we can judge the length. For footwear, bring the socks or hosiery you expect to wear with the finished pair.
Wear the undergarments you would normally wear with the piece, particularly for structured clothing. A thin, fitted base layer can make taking measurements easier.
A favourite shirt, jacket or pair of jeans can be useful as a reference. Tell us what you like about its fit, and what you would change. Photographs and fabric ideas are welcome too.
Allow approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the service.
For a video consultation
Choose a well-lit space with room to move and access to a mirror. If measurements are part of the appointment, have a soft measuring tape nearby and, when possible, someone who can help. A notebook can be useful for keeping track of preferences and next steps.
For footwear discussions, have your usual socks or hosiery ready. We will explain the steps relevant to your piece; you do not need tailoring experience.
Before we meet
If you have a particular date in mind, let us know early. Bring questions about materials, fit, care or the making process. We will explain the available options, price and expected timeline before you decide.
Arrange a consultation or write to us if there is anything you would like to discuss beforehand.
